Preventive maintenance program review and development

Preventive Maintenance is a schedule of planned maintenance actions aimed at the prevention of breakdowns and failures. The primary goal of preventive maintenance is to prevent the failure of equipment before it actually occurs. It is designed to preserve and enhance equipment reliability by replacing worn components before they actually fail. Thus avoiding budget busting, breakdowns and saving your company money.

Preventive Maintenance activities include equipment checks, partial or complete overhauls at specified periods, oil changes, lubrication and so on.

TCS will review and analyze the current Preventive Maintenance program or help establish a new Preventive Maintenance program. This program will start with the locating and identification of all equipment requiring Preventive Maintenance. After the inventory is complete grouping of equipment into five priority classes, setting frequencies and time estimates follow. The final product is a Preventive Maintenance system that is ready for deployment.

Benefits

Long-term benefits of preventive maintenance include, improved system reliability, decreased cost of replacement, decreased system downtime, to name a few. Preventive Maintenance helps organization's meet the regulatory requirements of inspection in a documented and repeatable way.

Additional savings are reaped from the repair work being planned not reactive this results in a more efficient scheduling of downtime, reduced cost of parts, and more efficient employees in that they have the parts and coordination in place before starting to work. This results in cost savings from less disruption to customers, efficient crews. Material costs are reduced because they are purchased based upon best value, not just delivery time.
